Montana-Big Sky Country : Welcome to my "Big Sky Country" photo gallery of the great state of Montana! A visit to Montana often results in a case of "Paradice Syndrome". Topophilia-"Love of Place". As viewed through the windshield the mountain rimmed valleys of Western Montana are simply captivating. Montana is the fourth largest state in the US. The western third is the Rocky Mountains. High and handsome, the Montana Rockies are actually made up of more than 24 distinct ranges seperated by broad valleys. To the west of Montana lies beautiful Idaho, to the south Wyoming. Montana shares Yellowstone national Park with both Idaho and Wyoming. Glacier national Park, the "Crown Jewel", borders Canada. Montana is critical habitat for species such as Grizzly Bear and Timber wolves. Within my Montana photo gallery are images taken during lengthy visits from all around the western part of the state. *********NOTE********** WEBSITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION.. Connecticut Country : Welcome to my "Country Connecticut" photo gallery. Based primarily in the beautiful scenic Litchfield hills region of Litchfield County, Northern Fairfield county (Sherman, Roxbury, Woodbury, Bridgewater) and western Hartford County. This is Connecticuts least populated region which abounds in natural beauty. Waterfalls, pastoral scenes,active farms and covered bridges. Also home to Connecticuts largest natural lakes and the only part of the state in which the Appalachian Trail traverses. This is also the region which boast perhaps the most charming rural communities in all of New England such as Kent, Washington Depot, Sharon, Salisbury, Litchfield and greater New Milford to name just a few. Vermont-The Green Mountain State : Welcome to my VERMONT photo gallery. Vermont is widely known by many as the 'Green Muntain State". The Green Mountains are the dominant mountain range, however the north-south Taconic Range spans from the northwest corner of Massachusetts right along the western border of Vermont right through Manchester center. Mount Equinox is the highest point of the Taconics. Vermont is unique amongst the six New England states as it is the only landlocked state. Brattleboro, in the southeast corner, served as the original gateway to Vermont. Today Brattleboro is a very personable town with big town amenities. However the state is mostly made up of village scapes set into scenic hillsides, large tracts of wild lands and forest and sprawling rural farm settings. *****please note***** WEBSITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
